Evansville Water, Ice & Coffee respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
This Privacy Policy describes how Evansville Water, Ice & Coffee (“EWIC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with this website and our water, ice, coffee, and filtration services in Evansville, Indiana and the surrounding Tri-State. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We keep data collection to what we actually need to serve you.
Information you give us
When you submit our contact or quote form, we collect the details you choose to provide — your name, business name (optional), email address, phone number (optional), the service you’re interested in, and your message. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you include in that communication.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers automatically log basic technical data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the date and time. We use this limited data to operate the site securely, diagnose problems, and limit automated spam. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Information we do not collect
We do not sell products online today, so we do not collect payment-card numbers through this site. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, or biometric data), and we do not collect information from children.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes and estimates.
- To provide, schedule, and support the services you request.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website, including preventing fraud and abuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. We do not sell your personal data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We are a local, independent, family-owned business — your information stays with us and the limited service providers who help us run.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to deliver email from our contact form and to host this website. They process data only on our behalf and under contract.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or our business.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Data retention
We keep inquiry and customer information only as long as needed to respond to you, provide service, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which we delete or de-identify it. Automatic server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
6. How we protect your information
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting Indiana residents occurs, we will provide notice as required by Indiana’s breach-notification law (Ind. Code § 24-4.9).
7. Your privacy rights
Indiana residents. The Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act (Ind. Code § 24-15), effective January 1, 2026, gives Indiana consumers the right to confirm whether we process their personal data and to access it; to correct inaccuracies; to delete it; to obtain a portable copy; and to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. The Act applies only to businesses that meet specific size thresholds, which a small local business like ours generally does not meet. Even so, we honor these core rights as a matter of practice — and, as noted above, we do not sell data, run targeted advertising, or profile you.
Residents of other states. If you live in another state with a consumer privacy law (for example, Kentucky, California, or others), you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. We extend these rights to all of our visitors regardless of where you live.
How to exercise your rights
Contact us using the details in Section 11. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 45 days). You may exercise these rights free of charge, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; if you have concerns about our handling of an appeal, you may contact the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.
8. Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the policies of any site you visit.
10. “Do Not Track” and changes to this policy
Because we do not track visitors across other websites, we do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We may update this policy from time to time; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
